In crop care, mechanization lies in weed control, as follows :
1) Mechanized weeding
Weeding can be done manually or using animal to plough between rows. This may take place until tapioca is 3-4 months old. When it is older, weeding is difficult and may affect the root growth. Mechanical weeding uses small tractors and tractors with plough. Large tractors should be employed when tapioca is two months old, as they may reduce tapioca growth if it is older.
The use of tractors must be consistent with the spacings between ridges. We must make sure that branches are not broken, the root system is not destroyed or the roots are not damaged.
