| 2. Planting |

At present, planting is mostly done manually. No mechanization has been adopted yet. However, efforts are being made to develop a planting equipment for future uses. Tapioca planting follows two methods : |

1. Without ridges Planting can be done in rows, using a rope.
|
|
|
2. With ridges Ridges can be made be using a filler tractor, before planting. These ridges can be done by using draft animals also.
|
|
Whichever method, the space between ridges should be about 120 cms. So that tractors can be effectively used at a later stage.
